Caban Guto

Caban Guto

Caban Guto is a visitors centre in the heart of St Gwynno forestry. A volunteer led provision that is a space for people to stop off, find information on their journey and enjoy some refreshments.

About

Caban Guto is a visitor's centre at the heart of St Gwynno Forestry providing information on the forest's paths and trails and the area's heritage and culture. Caban Guto  is run by a group of dedicated volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and this is what makes the place so fun to visit, there is never a dull moment!

This spectacular haven is the place to sit and chat with fellow walkers, cyclists, runners pony riders and the wider community. It provides a focal point for people who use the forestry, increasing and encouraging access to many trails and attracting people/tourists from a wider area.

We currently offer hot and cold beverages, snacks and hot food specials on promotional days. We run exciting community based events throughout the year so please keep an eye out for our Caban Guto Facebook page @cabanguto or, find us on Instagram!

About Our Work

Volunteers have played an active role in the design and development of Caban Guto, from inception to its completion at site. Strong partnerships have been formed with our key partner Daerwynno Outdoor Activity centre  as well as, the Clydach Ramblers, Roberttown Road Runners, Mountain Bikers and Pony Club to ensure this is a community led project. This partnership established the foundation for Caban Guto and since then, a management committee made up of volunteers old and new have come together to support the Caban with the next exciting stage of development.  They are always open to new ideas and welcome people to get involved.  If you are interested in joining our vibrant volunteering team then simply fill out the form below and sign up!  or for more information on volunteering at the Caban contact
