Paths and Trails

PATHS AND TRAILS

This project is about developing and improving trails and paths in the forestry and the surrounding areas. It is a community led project that is overseen by Paths and Trails steering group made up of representatives from the various outdoor groups in the village.

About

Working together we have identified several routes in the forestry and surrounding countryside that we would like to sign-post making it easier for people to access. Our aim is to give people more confidence to use these Paths and Trails independently and improving and enhancing

health and well-being.

Cribyn Ddu walk is our first official route which is two and half mile walk around Ynysybwl beginning and ending at the square, taking in the Lady Windsor trail and footpaths up to Cribyn Ddu.

The group work closely with Natural resources wales and have come to an agreement with them to enhance a cycling and running route in the forestry along with a new pony trail. These will launched later this year.

Maps

Ynysybwl  Vision's Paths and Trails group have developed circular walks, cycle routes, runs and pony rides in and around Ynysybwl and St Gwynno's forestry, combining public rights of way and permissive paths.
